The Communist Dictator Makes Himself the Object of Worship
Xi Jinping, China’s communist dictator, is trying to replace Christ with himself. All over China he is tearing down crosses and replacing them with portraits of Chairman Mao and Xi Jinping. Churches are being forced to display slogans from the Chinese Communist Party in their churches. Christian clergy are being told what to preach—Communist ideology. They are being required to sing Communist songs instead of hymns.
This is all happening in the state-sanctioned churches—both Protestant and Catholic. Meanwhile, the true church in China—the underground house church movement—continues to grow and thrive and bring into people’s lives the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
Let me predict how all this is going to work itself out. Xi will soon be dead. He will find himself face to face with Almighty God, the judge of the living and the dead. He has been warned in Psalm 2 to “kiss the Son lest He be angry.” The Son will indeed be very angry at Xi. And he will face eternal judgment.
Meanwhile the true Christian church will continue its triumphant march until Christ returns and establishes His rule on the earth.
