On Good Friday last month President Trump delivered a Good Friday message celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ while declaring that religion is experiencing a "resurgence" across the United States in his second term. "As I have often said, to be a great nation, you must have religion, and you must have God."
Whatever you think of Donald Trump he is surely right about this. Proverbs 14:34 says, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” In Romans 1 the Apostle Paul says people know there is a God but refuse to honor or thank Him. As a result they become fools.
The future of the United States and Western culture depend on trusting God.
The President ended his remarks by quoting John 3:16: For God so loved the Lord, He gave His only begotten Son; that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Thank you Mr. President. You are certainly right this time.
