Why Woke Won't Go Away

It's a religion and religions don't die easily.

There has been a lot online recently about the refusal of woke to go away. For those of you who need to be reminded woke is the leftist ideology that oppresses the speech of those they disagree with; who choose up sides in regard to race, gender, sexual preference, choosing villains and heroes.

Matthew Continetti in the WSJ: “The radical ideas on race, “gender” and sexuality known as woke ideology…might have retreated from their Biden-era apex. They haven’t disappeared…they remain a powerful force in progressive strongholds, from college quads to Democratic primaries.”

One wokester said, ““You can defund and dismantle all you want, but the work continues.”

It sure does. Why? Because it’s a religion. It’s like any cult. No amount of factual argumentation roots people out of their religious convictions. Mormon faith is unmoved no matter how many revelations there are of Joseph Smith’s tawdriness. And the left is just as committed as any Mormon. And that’s why it won’t die and will continue to plague America’s universities, corporate boardrooms, and public discourse.

A religion can only be defeated by another religion. The faith of Jesus Christ is the best answer to woke ideology.
